What is Internet By Aviva?
Internet By Aviva is my freelance web design company. I do every aspect of a web site, from planning the site to creating the graphics and content, programming, contracting an ISP to host the site, and registering the site with search engines. Anything else I missed?

My development environment...
I thought it might be interesting to explain the hardware and software I use to build web sites. I do all my graphics in Windows. Everything else happens in Linux: the perl scripting, HTML coding, web site maintenance. I have a domain name server and Apache web server running locally (under Linux, of course) which turn my computer into a self-contained internet. This setup lets me test all my links and scripts as if I'm really online, even when I'm not.

Something else you should know is that I am an HTML purist. I write all my HTML by hand. Why? For one thing, I've been doing it that way since the WWW was born-- before HTML editors were invented :). The other reason is that hand-coding ensures the cleanest, most efficient HTML.
